About Us
Our History
Incorporated in the State of Maryland in September 1998, NAAAHR was co-sponsored by the Baltimore Black Human Resources Network and the Washington DC Black Human Resources Network. NAAAHR was formed by a coalition of 17 local organizations of Black and African American professionals and consultants from many cities across the country.

Today, NAAAHR’s professional community is made up of over 40,000 members, network affiliates, partners and sponsors, with 25 active chapters and interest groups throughout the US (including the US Virgin Islands). Many of the members are affiliated with other professional and trade organizations, however, find their local NAAAHR Chapter as a valuable resource for shared learning, professional development, expanded networking, and personal growth.
Our Mission
The National Association of African Americans in Human Resources exists to provide a global forum for the career development for the community of People of Color and the African Diaspora in the Human Resources profession. Â
